A Dream Stay at Ubuntu Luxury Villa – An Unforgettable Experience
Our 15-day stay at Ubuntu Luxury Villa in Hoedspruit at the end of February was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the sheer beauty of the house and its outstanding location. The villa itself is an absolute masterpiece—beautifully decorated, luxurious, and designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings.
One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife that visited the garden daily. Watching dwarf mongooses scurry around while relaxing by the pool was an experience in itself. The lodge is set within a wildlife estate where you can walk or cycle freely, encountering giraffes, zebras, duikers, and an array of other wildlife—a truly unique and immersive experience.
The owners, Dennis and Anouk, have another property nearby and couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful, ensuring our stay was perfect from start to finish. Jackie, our host, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. She also arranged a private chef experience that was absolutely to die for!
The villa’s location is ideal, being close enough to Kruger National Park for unforgettable day trips where we saw hippos, rhinos, lions, and elephants. Hoedspruit itself has a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars, set in charming shopping areas, offering plenty of dining and entertainment options.
We couldn’t have asked for a better stay, and without a doubt, we will be returning. If you’re looking for the perfect blend of luxury, adventure, and outstanding hospitality, Ubuntu Luxury Villa is the place for a fabulous holiday.

I stayed at the Villa for 4 nights and fully enjoyed it. It’s a magnificent place where you can do plenty of nice activities including horse riding, walking safaris, drive to Kruger for a day visit or go on a game drive at close by reserves. It really is the perfect place to unwind or even to work from (remotely) if needed and possible. I had a little grey duiker visiting me at the pool and could watch plenty of birds taking their bath from the Terrasse. If you go for a walk on the estate you will probably spot plenty of game, such as giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, impala, warthogs, tortoises, kudus, duikers and a wide variety of beautiful birds. You can walk around in the wilderness area on your own if you are comfortable enough.
During the night you shouldn’t miss to look into the dark sky with plenty of its stars from the deck next to the Villa, it’s offering gorgeous views.
The Villa is fully equipped with all what’s needed and the decoration is very unique and quite amazing! I surely didn’t want to leave this place after 4 nights and hope to be able to come back!

What an amazing place this is!
It all starts with the communication beforehand—very pleasant, quick, and helpful. And then you arrive at Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate: beautifully maintained and, above all, safe. Lovely homes along the road, and there is Jackie waiting for you. What a kind and warm person.
Then you step into the villa and in one word: WOW!!!
What a dream home this is. The interior, the space, the high ceilings, the spacious rooms with stunning bathrooms, and the wonderful covered patio with garden and pool—just perfect. Everything has truly been thought of. All essentials are there: coffee, tea, kitchen appliances, washing machine & dryer with detergent, luxurious shower gel, shampoos, and more. It's spotless and smells amazing.
From plush pool towels to games, books, fleece blankets for outside, candles—you name it, it’s there. It truly feels like home. I almost always get homesick, but not here. From the very first moment I thought, I want to stay longer. That’s how comfortable it is!
Still hesitating? Don’t! Just book it!

I cannot rave about Ubuntu Luxury Villa enough!!!
If you’re looking for a stay in and around Hoedspruit or in the Greater Kruger where you can enjoy a safari along with the countless activities and sights in the surrounding area then this is it!
The villa itself is absolutely stunning, well-equipped and very peaceful. We had lots of wildlife visitors and could have spent days just chilling at the villa itself.
However we were amazed at how much there is to do in the area!! Ubuntu can also organize all of this for you and that brings me to the owners Anouk & Dennis. They are unrivaled as far as hosts go! They have made Ubuntu into a warm and welcoming oasis and every little detail has been thought out to ensure you are comfortable and have every convenience you will need. They also went over and above for us during our stay and we really cannot thank them enough for their hospitality!! We will returning again and again!

What an AMAZING place to stay while in Hoedspruit!
The Villa is just as beautiful as the pictures and videos we’ve seen before we booked. You’ll have a wonderful stay in this luxury, beautiful, well equipped, and extremely comfortable villa.
Anouk and Dennis do a perfect job on making sure the guests enjoy their time, very responsive, organized and always whiling to make great recommendations – we had two magnificent experiences referred from them (a perfect Safari tour and a wonderful diner at the villa).
You’ll never forget your Ubuntu experience, the sunsets, the animals that come to the property while you’re in the pool, the coffee on the observation deck and specially the bike rides around the estate surrounded by zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and plenty of other wild animals. One of those once in a lifetime experience is waiting for you.
We made Ubuntu our home for a few nights and we will never forget how special our experience was. Looking forward to comeback!
WOLT FAMILY - THE NETHERLANDS
After an intensive 2-week tour with the family, it was wonderful to relax in Ubuntu Luxury Villa! Anouk and Dennis had already thought about various activities and done some shopping in advance, so we were completely unburdened. They also turned out to be very flexible and full of good ideas when our itinerary needed adjustment. The villa itself is more than finished, spacious, very tastefully decorated, comfortable beds and sofas, and with high-quality finishes. There is also everything for the braai enthusiast, you won't go wrong. The deck with a beautiful view, just like the outdoor shower, and the terrace by the pool where warthogs, kudus and zebras also come to drink some water during the first morning coffee. The villa is beautifully situated in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, walking and MTB among the giraffes and wildebeest in your own garden is a special experience. There are also other private estates with big 5 in the area, and Kruger is easily accessible. Anouk and Dennis had arranged great game drives for us there! As a gateway to both Kruger and the Panorama route, the village is really up and coming and has a friendly atmosphere. In short: real luxury and as fully cared for as you want, highly recommended!

Dear Dennis & Anouk, Thank you for this fantastic house. We really enjoyed all the luxury here. You really have thought of more than everything. The pleasure of all the animals around us was mind-blowing. We drove part of the Panorama Route and visited the Moholoholo Center, very impressive! We also had a delicious meal at The Hat & Creek and The Thirsty Giraffe, and enjoyed a real braai at home under the full moon. An unforgettable stay for us!!!! Big hug from us, Bianca and Aris

I want to shout WOW WOW WOW from the rooftops!! I don’t even know where to start with this amazing Villa, so I suppose I will start from the start. The message I got from Anouk (host) when she read on my Instagram that my luggage hadn’t made it. The message read “what size are you? We will go and get you some toiletries, underwear and a t-shirt so you are comfortable until your luggage arrives”. That set the tone for the rest of the trip. No detail too small, always going above and beyond and as a result I had a fantastic stay. The villa is everything you could want and more. Anouk and Denis have thought of every detail. It is beautiful, it is comfortable and best of all wildlife is always walking past the window! I enjoyed sitting on the deck working and being visited by duiker and warthog and mongoose. The town of Hoedspruit is also great. So much to do, really friendly locals and great restaurants. I’m genuinely considering making it my home one day! Thank you so much for such a lovely stay!

Dear Dennis and Anouk, from the moment we entered your beautiful villa we were sold. What a wonderfully beautiful and beautiful environment it is here. Wild animals coming around the villa was an amazing experience! Thank you for your warm welcome, all the tips and things you have arranged for us such as safaris, restaurants, too many to mention. Our first time in South Africa, and in particular Hoedspruit, was a wonderful experience. We have seen a piece of South Africa through your eyes. Who knows, see you next time! What can I say, Probably the most beautiful place we've ever stayed in and peaceful is an understatement. I don't want to share this place with anyone as it's beyond beautiful. You won't want to play music, watch TV but just chill and read a book whilst watching the wildlife around you, eating or going on safari. Super King bed, stunning bathrooms, aircon in bedrooms, kitchen fully kitted, Laundry room, swimming pool, sun loungers and towels etc etc. I could bore you to tears with 'incredible this and incredible that'. The viewing deck has a lovely breeze and we spent many hours up there with binoculars or having dinner in the evening. Anouk & Dennis were absolutely incredible Hosts. The love that's been put into this place is second to none and to share it was an honour. Please look after Ubuntu with the love it deserves. DO hire a car as you need one. The best holiday I've had ever but please don't tell anyone 🙂

Dennis & Anouk had thought of literally EVERYTHING!
The decor and quality of furnishings is very high end, nothing was scraped or damaged, beds were like marshmallows, the kitchen was the best equipped I have ever seen, the game/scorpion torches, info pack, amenities, toiletries, towels, wine, wood.....I could go on!
Don't hesitate to stay here, you will not regret it, it’s absolute paradise run by two of the loveliest people! Bravo to you both on an outstanding product!

What an amazing place! As a regular visitor to Kruger and Hoedspruit area we can say that this is the MOST AMAZING place we ever stayed at! From our booking enquiry until the follow-up after our stay, everything was great. The eye for detail in all brochures before the stay is amazing, so many extra options they have to offer, we could have stayed here for weeks! 🙂 Located in the (for us) best part of the estate this is a dream come true to stay here. The house itself is very spacious and very clean. A covered outside sitting area with fans, a large pool, very nice boma area and best of all the large viewing deck made the whole experience even better. No doubt we will be back as soon as possible!

We had an absolutely amazing stay here at Ubuntu! We loved being able to drive around the estate and see so much wildlife. We even got lucky and got to see a leopard! The estate is beautiful and this home is just such a relaxing place to spend time.
We truly enjoyed every minute of our time here. Our favorite part was getting to enjoy sunrise coffee and sunset drinks on the upper deck – just stunning views up there!
This was our first time here, but we already know we want to come back! Staying at Ubuntu made everything so easy, with dinners cooked in-house by the Keystone Café and game drives picking us up right out front.

What a gem in an exceptionally beautiful setting!
In the morning, we enjoyed the rising sun from the lookout point, watching animals pass by, and in the evening, an unbelievably beautiful starry sky.
The villa is tastefully decorated, spacious, with lovely colors and high-quality materials — a big compliment for that!
The welcome was more than warm, just like the people in Hoedspruit.
